Abstract

End-stage kidney disease (ESKD) is life limiting disease even with renal replacement therapies. ESKD is one of the chronic diseases that, due to their complexity and intrusiveness, affect the patient and his loved ones the most. Integration of Renal Supportive Care into nephrology allows
individualization of care according to the changing needs of the patient during mostly long-term
treatment.
