Abstract

This article offers an insight into the topic of theater in palliative care. It introduces the basic forms and importance of artistic, especially theatrical activities in medical care. Based on the author’s experience with playing solo theatre performance Where the Ocean Ends for palliative care patients It also captures the specifics of the so-called applied theater, which is created for the specific needs of a specific target group. And finally, the text offers to consider the importance of theatrical encounters between the artist and people in the terminal phase of life.
